If your job is a source of stress, consider ways to deal with that stress outside of work and figure out if anything regarding your job needs changing.
Consider those tasks as individual issues that can be resolved one step at a time instead of looking at them as one giant task.
2) Start Small
When there are so many things we need to accomplish, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. It’s easy to believe that if we don’t complete everything on our to-do list, nothing will get done and that it’s better not to try at all than to start and fail.
But the problem is, we often check off a few tasks from our never-ending list of things to do and then call it a night, and soon we’re kicking back with Netflix and ice cream (and haven’t done anything else). As you complete a task, give yourself a small reward. Task completion can result in positive feelings, which can increase motivation and productivity. People who offer themselves small incentives for achieving their goals are more likely to follow through on their plans than those who do not.
You can reward yourself after completing a single task or after finishing several projects, whichever works best for your situation and personality type. No matter what type of incentive you choose, make sure it motivates you to keep going with your plan and does not hinder your progress.
5) Accept Regret (and use it as motivation)
You’ll never know unless you try, and if you do, you won’t be able to say you didn’t try. Regret is not a sufficient reason to postpone something.
